The LOT is an arts venue and bistro which aims to resource, present and develop the creative arts, providing a relaxed environment where people have the opportunity to celebrate and enjoy their own and others’ creativity.
Create, Eat and Meet
We provide a space in the heart of Edinburgh for people to create, eat, meet and live life, a place where it is simply good to be.
Exhibitions
Original artwork by local artists is displayed around the building and we showcase the woodwork of GROW, a social enterprise managed by the Greyfriars Community Project.
Performance Space
Our performance space has hosted Edinburgh’s weekly Ceilidh Club and has built a reputation as an excellent jazz venue promoting local and international artists. The venue is often used as a flexible meeting space for charities, individuals and community interest groups, as well as for ceilidhs, concerts, weddings, conferences and parties. During the Edinburgh Festival Fringe we host a lively programme of comedy, music and theatre.
